Lots of fun things for kids!!! 100% of profits go to Middle Township and Gettysburg College by way of suicide prevention kits, scholarships in Richelle’s name and monies set aside for guest speakers.

CAPE MAY BLOGGER WILL BE THERE and watching for smiles as big as Richelle’s use to be!!!

richellePerhaps, the scenario is familiar. You were friends for as long as you can remember. You shared your family, your memories, you shared everything. You were best friends and you were lost without her. Your friendship had survived the awkward years of youth and you were proud of her successes. You acknowledged her hard working values. She graduated alongside of you but she was the one that was voted most likely to succeed by your peers and was accepted to an Ivy League school. You were ALWAYS happy for her. Unfortunately, she was never happy inside with what she became. She never gave herself permission to enjoy her numerous successes.

Karen Turnier Rich remembers the day it happened. The day Richelle Renza took her own life. Karen felt helpless as she watched her best friend suffer with depression. What was a friend to do?

Everyone is at a loss when it comes to clinical depression. How are we, as loved ones, to handle these problems and how do we help? Karen, in memory of her friend, has planned a festival event for families called Life Patrol. It is in honor of Richele to address topics like these, also to enable and encourage exposure to the topic of suicide.

Richelle wasn’t outwardly depressed. Ironically, she is remembered for her beautiful smile. You are invited to become educated about depression and enjoy the simpler moments in life that we have with our family. Swainton Station strikes up an affair with balloons, face painting, a dunk booth, and other fun that will make yousmile just like Richele did.

You are invited to remember Richele’s unforgettable smile, but also know the story and the pain behind it to preserve the life of your children and your friends. Are you ready to confront issues of suicide and guard your loved ones against it? Preserve their life and come to Richele’s Life Patrol Festival.

Richelle did have a fabulous smile and loving heart from the time I met her in her elementary school years until the last time I saw her as a young adult. It is encouraging to see that Richele’s friends are reaching out to help others as a special way to remember and honor Richele.

  2. Des says:

Depression is little understood and does not really get any sympathy. my sister took her own life three years ago this month.

  3. Alice Devlin says:

This is a wonderful tribute to Richelle.
I remember her wonderful smile and beauty, when she danced.
I hope that this event will help to prevent losing another beautiful life.
